Google Site Blocker — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the Google Site Blocker browser extension (“the Extension”), published by Savekong, handles information. The Extension lets you hide or block unwanted websites from your search results.
1. No User Data Is Handled
The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any user data. No personal information, browsing history, search queries, analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics are ever collected or sent anywhere. The Extension makes no network requests to our servers or to any third party — it has no servers at all.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
To function, the Extension saves your own settings locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage (chrome.storage):
- Your list of blocked or hidden websites (the rules you create).
- Your preferences, such as display options and language.
This data never leaves your browser, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and is deleted when you remove the Extension. You can also export, import, or clear it at any time from the Extension's options page.
3. Permissions Explained
The Extension requests only the permissions required for its single purpose:
- storage: to save your block list and preferences locally on your device.
- scripting: to hide blocked results on search pages.
- contextMenus: to offer a right-click “block this site” shortcut.
- Access to Google search domains: to detect blocked sites on the search results page and hide them. Page content is processed entirely within your browser and is never recorded or transmitted.
- Optional permissions (declarativeNetRequest, alarms, and other search engines such as Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave, Ecosia, Startpage, or Yandex): requested only if you explicitly enable those optional features, and used solely for the same local blocking functionality.
4. No Cookies, Tracking, or Third Parties
The Extension does not use cookies, does not include any analytics or advertising libraries, does not load remote code, and does not share information with third parties, because it has no information to share.
5. Children's Privacy
Since the Extension collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
If the Extension's data practices ever change, this page will be updated before the change takes effect, and the “Last updated” date above will be revised.
